We just added the 2 pictured bolos by Bill Burch (of Orem, Utah). He was a prolific carver. The highest number Bill Burch slide I have seen was 46,xxx.
The Museum now has 24 bolos and 5 neckerchief slides by Bill Burch. ---Will
The Museum also has:
>3 slides by Ben Hunt - Boy's Life magazine's "Whittlin' Jim,"
>A slide from Lew Weston,
>41 slides from Jeff Springer (Topeka, Kansas),
> 20 slides and bolos from Jim Hill (Tyler, Texas),
>30 slides from Bob Reitmeyer (Pittsburgh, PA),
>68 slides from local legend Ed Choby (Pittsburgh, PA),
>approximately 115 slides from other whittlers and carvers (some we know who made them, some we don't),
>and, of course, 1,022 I (Will Scarlett) have whittled.
Stop in sometime to see all these great slides. - Will

10th Anniversary Kiasutha Flaps. There are supposed to be 2 variations. It appears to me I have 5! So I guess they all stay in the Museum display!
May not be Scout related but fit in well.
These will be a great addition to the museum!
The Fay-West Boy Scout Museum is pleased to announce the acquisition of Dr. Ed Lewis’ Scouting Memorabilia. Over the next few weeks, we will be incorporating it into our displays. In an attempt to keep these items close to home, duplicate items will be offered first to local Scouters at the Wagion August OA Weekend. Please see Will there. Check back here for additional information and photos. (Post Date: 17 July 2023)
